Council-Rogers, a Sumter, South Carolina native, has over 20 years of extensive legal experience advising clients on various matters but has garnered the most recognition from her personal injury practice which includes representing individuals who have been seriously injured throughout Georgia, including but not limited to, Atlanta, East Point, College Park, Decatur, Jonesboro, Riverdale, and Morrow.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Economics from Spelman College, a top-ranked Historical Black College in Atlanta, Georgia. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C.
Before launching Council & Associates, LLC, Attorney Council-Rogers worked at a corporate law firm where she advised clients on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to contractual disputes and land-use conflicts.
Lashonda is an accomplished litigator and respected member of the legal community. Her years of experience have helped her become a skilled negotiator and trial maverick with the ability to provide highly effective legal counsel. As a black, woman-owned firm, Lashonda’s sole focus is to represent underserved individuals who are injured due to tractor-trailer and automobile accidents and daycare center abuse. Her goal is to provide quality service. In 20 years of practice, Council & Associates has successfully recovered millions of dollars on behalf of its clients.
Lashonda is also very active in the legal and civic communities of the Atlanta metropolitan area as a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Gate City Bar Association, and she serves on the board of directors for the GABWA scholarship foundation. Nationally, Attorney Council-Rogers is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.
