There’s something powerful about watching something grow from the ground up. A seed becoming a plant. A neighborhood becoming a community. A law firm becomes more than just a place people call when something goes wrong.
This March, in honor of National Nutrition Month, Council & Associates made a donation to the Food Well Alliance, an Atlanta-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting and sustaining urban farms and community gardens across our city. On March 26, members of our team visited one of their farms in person, rolling up our sleeves and seeing the impact of this work firsthand.

Who Is the Food Well Alliance?
The Food Well Alliance works to build a more connected, resilient, and nourished Atlanta by supporting local urban farms and community gardens. These are the green spaces tucked into neighborhoods, the community plots that give families access to fresh produce, and the gardens that teach children where food actually comes from.
In a city where food access isn’t always equal, the Food Well Alliance is doing the quiet, essential work of making sure more Atlantans have access to fresh, healthy food, regardless of zip code.
That mission resonates deeply with us.
Why Council & Associates Supports This Work
As a personal injury law firm based, we work with people on some of the hardest days of their lives. Whether someone has been injured in a car or truck accident or their child has been injured in a daycare, we know that recovery isn’t just legal. It’s physical, emotional, and communal.

Our Farm Visit on March 26
On March 26, our team visited one of the Food Well Alliance’s partner farms in the Bankhead area. We got to connect with the people doing this work on the ground, learning more about Atlanta’s urban agriculture landscape, and sharing that experience with you here and on our social channels. Our donation supported the implantation of new fruit trees for an orchard, agricultural training for student interns, truck compost deliveries, tractor workdays, and future garden improvement projects.

National Nutrition Month: More Than a Calendar Moment
